Every April a new baseball season begins, cleaning the slate of last season, and giving all teams a new opportunity to accomplish something special: the World Series. However, the future can be brighter for certain teams rather than others.
This season’s odds are most heavily favoring the Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, and New York Mets. All three teams boast world class pitching staffs and a plethora of players with postseason experience.
The Chicago Cubs are looking to follow up a great run in the play offs last year, and with their young talent now having experience they appear ready to play.
The San Francisco Giants are on a mission to improve their winning streak in even years, having won the last three even year world series. Playing off of their pitchers Johnny Cueto, Jeff Samardzija, and Madison Bumgarner along with their all star catcher Buster Posey, they hope to reclaim victory on the biggest stage of baseball.
Lastly, the New York Mets are also fresh off a playoff run, losing to the Royals in last year’s world series. With a roster of both young pitching and veteran fielders, the Mets are hungry for their first world series in 30 years.
Those three teams are the top prospects to win the World Series going into the 2016 season, but all teams are coming out hungry to win it all. With an abundance of great teams, it is truly anyone's World Series to win.
