You may look around the world and you feel like you have no one. You may feel like everyone has someone except for you. One of the most important things to realize is that you are not alone. We all go through rough times in our lives when it’s easy to feel like you have no one. Different phases in life cause relationships to change, or even end, but that is okay. The fact that relationships are changing means that you are growing up and maturing. There are some things to remember if you are feeling like this:
Don’t hide your feelings:
It’s okay to be sad. Everyone goes through this in life, and it is okay to cry. When you are done crying, get back up, wipe yourself off, and carry on.
You aren’t crazy for feeling like this:
I can guarantee that most everyone has felt this way, and there is no need to feel ashamed or crazy. This part of life is one of the hardest, but most necessary for growth.
Talk to someone:
Feeling alone is bad enough, but if you are feeling this way you shouldn’t isolate yourself. This is a time to go out and talk to new people, and get out of your comfort zone in order for you to feel okay again. Talking to someone can help clear up your emotions and give you a new outlook on what you’re going through.
The world is a very big place, but, ironically enough, it’s not uncommon to feel alone. Relationships change, people move on, and you lose friends that you thought would be there with you forever. It may seem like nothing is going right, but you have to remember to keep going. Talk to people you wouldn’t have ever talked to, try different things, and put yourself out there. Life isn’t meant to be easy, but it’s a lot harder to go through it alone. Don’t be afraid to reach out to someone when you are feeling alone. It will get better, even if it seems impossible.
